I have been out of the loop for awhile, but apparently T-Splines is no longer, and I did not purchase before they terminated it for Rhino. I was hoping that someone may know about another plugin that work similarly ? I really enjoyed the intuitive nature of the plugin. It helped me form organic shapes more easily.

Autodesk is going to end of life our T-Splines for Rhino plug-in on January 7th, 2017.
The T-Spines technology is now part of Fusion 360 .

Is Clayoo a realistic alternative for T-Splines yet?
Looking for any input/advice or your recommendations, as I am balancing on the precipice of purchasing one or the other.
I have some experience using T-Splines, and really liked it, just taking a look at Clayoo trial to see how it compares.
Would appreciate any input on the fundamental differences between how the two work. Any personal preferences/advantages of one over the other?

Still new to win rhino, I’ve been wanting win rhino for the plugins, and at work started using win version of rhino. And the 20% off sale timing I got it, but I see lots of end of support rumors for T Spline.
I wanted to do more organic modelling and seemed like the tool to learn, but if the EOL is coming soon, I’d like to spend the learning curve on other plugin.
Or, just learn faster techniques for surface modelling, which I should do anyway.
Any advices?

I’m a newbie to the group and have a questions. I’ve been a Rhino user since Rhino 2.0 but am self-taught.
I’m considering adding either T-splines or Clayoo to what I use. I’ve used T-splines in the past but don’t have much time with Clayoo.
Does anyone have significant experience with these plug-ins and an opinion about one over the other? Bear in mind, in all my CAD experience I am self taught and expect that it will be the same with whichever plug-in I choose.

rhino 6 will not have anything in its release but you can search for sub d in the search which is a wip function implemented in the rhino 6 wip.

The furrowed brow effect in the image was created using the Creases=Yes option. I took the head from the model Holo mentioned in his post 4 days ago, used “UnweldEdge” to unweld the eyebrows and forehead ridges, then moved those control points out a bit before calculating the limit surface. The “ShowEdges” command is useful for keeping track of the interior crease locations on the input mesh.

So you’re saying that it’s OK if Rhino developers smell like wild rhinos?
I’m guessing that might be a hard sell with their spouses and families…
