As with every WIP release, I was again asking myself that question, so Typed TestCommandPrompt.
Still there was no Command Prompts popping up. but this below was printed in the command History :
Been waiting for 30 minutes and there’s no crash. It makes me hopeful that this, that was the only really great feature in the old Mac Rhino UI will eventually come back into the WIP and free us from the worst [and only] feature of the old UI that made it into the WIP [the command and side tool bar bangled together in one box]
The floating command line works again in RH8 WIP, be the ugly combined command/tool bar also returnes every time a new Rhino window is opened. annoying obviously. I can close it once, but it will return again and again.
Can this be fixed?
p.s.:
To make matters even more annoying the toolbar cannot be closed mouse, but with the “grab”-mouse, making it even harder to get rid of this thing Here a video of a normal panel and the toolbar.
Yes it has been graciously given back to us [I think already a couple of months ago]
Regarding the unpleasantness of that other box relentlessly reappearing, Ive seen it reported, not sure if it made to the pile though… [?]
The bigger problem here, [as far as I can tell] is that the “dynamic” side toolbar is not available separately from that command box thing,
So by closing that thing [don’t know how to call it…?]
we actually loose access to that dynamic side toolbar [the toolbar that changes according to the active ribbon tab]
No, sorry (edited typo errors above). The hotkeys for the sidebars works fine .
I actually have these short cuts mapped to the 3DC space device and use them a lot .
