Style Practice

I had this Idea in my mind and wanted to adopt a playful style for the rendering.

Some may know Peter Tarka of whom I took inspiration for this. Result is still far from it.

If anybody knows what this style is called please comment.
Any Critique is also welcome!

This is fun! Is it a tape dispenser? I do like his style!

Have you seen the really useful discussion here:

If you wanted to add another colour, you can try the online version of that resource. Then you could try switching to a third background colour too.

Yeah I know that! So amazing what you can achieve with colors
Maybe I´ll do some variations from the rendering when I have more time

Yes, it´s supposed to be a tape dispenser from a bend knife. Do you recognize the knife?

I feel I know what it is, because it´s my idea. But some did not recognize that this should be a knife.

Thanks for the comment! Appreciate it

Nice!
I think some bump map concentric rings may help on a cylindrical mapping on your tape to add some depth.

Yeah! I tried to figure it out, but didn`t get it :frowning: I´m not familiar with texture mapping in Rhino yet.

I don’t enjoy texture mapping either. I find it unpleasant.

It looks like there is a small set of radial errors in your mesh, which are showing as shading issues right at the base of the handle. Almost looks like the bottom of a plastic drinks bottle, but the SubD has gone awry.

Oh yes  I photoshopped it away in the first… Maybe I can remove it with custom mesh…

It was Edge Softening. It created the artifacts.
