Rhino won't open specific file

(First post) I modeled a simple radio in Rhino8 on desktop, the file works perfectly fine on that computer & doesn’t seem to have any bad geometry. I emailed myself the file to open it on my laptop (both are Windows), but when I try to open the file, my entire laptop freezes. And I mean FREEZES, I have to force shutdown my laptop.

The file is only 2MB, opens perfectly fine on the desktop computer, and seems to be the only Rhino file my Laptop won’t open. I tested emailing another file between my desktop and laptop and that opened fine, and the other Rhino files native to my laptop work fine, so I don’t know what’s wrong with this specific file. Both’s Rhinos are up to date.

Here is my awesome file:

radioMesh.3dm (1.6 MB)

opens fine here- both rhino 8 and the v9 wip-

please open a blank session of rhino on the machine that freezes and type systeminfo in the command line-

post the report and we can see what if anything is going on with your hardware.

this is a hybrid machine and you are running unplugged. that often means the machine is flipping back to the built in video card that is low power and could explain why Rhino freezes-

try these settings for your machine and see if it helps. Note this will decrease battery time significantly unplugged as the nvidia uses much more power. You should always run plugged in when using rhino for the best stability.
