Hi,
Just a minor irritation: I get more and more spurious Notification tabs (bells) appearing in my tabbed panels. Up to seven just now. Only one has any text. I can untick Notifications in the panel options and the legitimate one disappears but the rest remain and cannot be got rid of (and the next time I look at options, notifications is ticked again).
Appears to be benign, but nice if it could be fixed some time. Has been present through all Rhino 6 releases up to and including 6.6.18156.11421, 05/06/2018.
Thanks
ResetMessageBoxes command resets all of the “Don’t ask me again…” dialog check boxes to “No.”

Hi Andrew,
There aren’t any dialogues. The tab labels are there, but there is absolutely nothing on the tabs - as here:
. The first notification says Licence obtained, the rest are like the one shown.
And, sadly, the empty tabs are unaffected by ResetMessageBoxes.

Hello - ok, thanks - nothing leaps out at me - there is an old item on our pile that was closed long ago because this or a similar problem showed up and then apparently went away - I am reopening it.

Hi Pascal,
As the elements of the tabbed panels window are user-specific and persistent, where does Rhino 6 store the user’s choice of panels?
Regards
Jeremy
Hi Jeremy,
Don’t know if this is still relevant, but here is a workaround for the proliferating tabs until it gets resolved.
Grab the notification by the tab at the top and drag it into the main window. The tab becomes a separate panel that you can simply exit out of. This seems to work for me and every so often I just clean out a half dozen or so!

Thanks for that, Jesse. After losing my settings, my extra tabs disappeared and I’m still down to a single notification tab but I’ll keep your workaround in mind lest they multiply again. It’s a clever solution.

same here, any progress on this issue?
ResetMessageBoxes doesn’t remove them…
I have this same exact problem. On my personal copy of R6 at home there are 7 empty notification tabs, the R6 copy I use at work has 2 empty notification tabs, and my coworker right behind me has 9 empty notification tabs in his copy of R6.

Hi Derek,
I haven’t seen this on my machine for a while (I hope I don’t regret saying that ). I’m running Rhino 6.12.

Hello - thanks - I’m investigating - this was a problem earlier in V6 and was fixed, but apparently not quite - @aj1 - do you have an idea? Looks like the message is about Accounts…

We’ve known about this issue for a long time but was never out there in public enough to take priority. I don’t believe this has anything to do with the actual notifications but with the way that Rhino renders the notifications panel.
Also here is the SystemInfo from my coworker’s computer:
