Middle Mouse PopUp menu stays open in v7

Hi.
I have just upgraded Rhino for Mac v7 from v5. I’m running Big Sur on a 2015 Macbook Pro.
The middle mouse button is set up to open the PopUp menu with my favourite tools.
I have set it to run the macro to show icons instead of a list.

The macro works as planned showing icons, but after selecting a tool, the pop-up window doesn’t close (like it did in v5). I have to press the middle mouse button again to close it (or select another tool from the main menu).
Is there a workaround for this?
BTW: When I don’t use the macro, and have the popup as a list, the menu window will close again after selecting a tool. But I would really prefer to have the icons instead!
I hope you can help.
Thanks!
Christian

Hello - try
_PopupToolbar "Toolbar Name" (toolbar = pallete)

-Pascal

Hi Pascal.

That makes it pop up in list view as well.
I have also tried
_PopupToolbar Popup _Visible=_Toggle UnderCursor=Yes AsMenu=No Enter
without any luck.

This had been discussed in this thread
I hope we get the “normal” V6- and/or Windows-style popup toolbar on MacOS soon…

Thanks Philip.
I see that I’m not the only one annoyed by the bug.

Let’s hope it can be fix it in a SR before v8.

No you’re not. There are even more threads - in addition to the one I linked to - with the same complaint…
