All of the icons that were set to “Recolor Light image for Dark modes” have now reverted back to their “Light” state. and they won’t come back…
I’m also facing the same problem.
I suspected I wasn’t the only one.
Usually I’m careful with updating too soon. Used to wait a few days in case the update breaks something, but today for some reason I felt lucky I guess
does a reset get you sorted?
Hey @doubletrouble , @hesro ,
This is something I changed intentionally, not intending to cause anyone any issues.
@doubletrouble that is some really nice icon work, looks great! I hate to cause you problems, especially after all the effort you’ve put into this.
There’s a lot of info in this thread about it
Essentially there was some code to perform pixel flipping, but it caused some issues and did flipping when it shouldn’t in many circumstances. I added in some parsing inside SVGs to allow for more powerful dark-mode changes. Are your icons SVG or PNG?
I really hope I can get this resolved without having to do a reset. I have a feeling that it might be a pain to get the theme back like it was again
Don’t do a reset; it will not fix this issue. Callum will be working on a fix
Ah interesting, I suspected that there was a good reason behind it all
I use a theme called RhinoUI by ui4rhino
My own icons are alright because I made them for a dark bg from start. But for some reason he decided to do his icons this way and let rhino invert them.
They are all SVG. (but embedded in a dll) So I guess I’ll have to export them one at a time to invert them in illustrator (?) (Hope there’s a better way)
Hi @theoutside @CallumSykes
This is the custom scheme, I did not see a problem with the default rhino scheme.
These are my observations right now, but maybe there are different problems that @doubletrouble wants to add, that he noticed.
Ah this makes sense, yes that theme is very cool. I’ll work on an efficient pain-free solution. I’ll chat to @rhinoui
I believe there is yes. I’ll look into it this week.
Thanks mate!
Looking forward to it
I’ve reached out to @rhinoui and gotten a set of the icons so I can try out the scheme pre and post regression and start working on a fix.
