Sometimes I experience not getting answers (not common though). I try to bump them every now and then but it doesn’t always work. Or maybe things get written down internally but I have no clue about it. I’ll take the opportunity to bring up a few topics I remembered without replies from anybody at McNeel:
Hi Guys,
I’m trying to import a dxf into a file which I’ve been working on a for a bit now (have been importing a few dxf’s before). But when I try to import DXF B, it als imports DXF A (which I imported before) again. It also seems like there’s some geometry missing in DXF B.
When I try to import DXF B into a different software I don’t get the geometry from DXF A and there’s no geometry missing. Also when I open a new window of Rhino and import DXF B, then I don’t get the geometry from DXF A …

Dear Rhino/Grasshopper developers thanks for Rhino 6, many useful improvements, render, Rhinocommon functions … but there is an old subject Polyline Offset see this thread :
Are there some news about Polyline offset ?
I know Clipper is a good solution for Grasshopper and Rhino.
Update : @pascal it is not a Grasshopper question more a Rhino core function. There is a reliability problem with offset Polyline. It doesn’t work on some the cells which are simple polygon (see the picture).

I get this error:

Some of these might have been solved already, some might have never been noticed. Who knows?
There’s also things being brought up & get a reply but then just seem to get forgotten…
Hello all,
I miss the Grasshopper gallery here on discourse. I believe having a pinned gallery on the side really helps with inspiring each other to try out and experiment with commands/plug-ins/scripting. There’s indeed a gallery here but opening a topic for each picture is cumbersome and it would be nice to rather just scroll through the pictures and get a quick update on what’s happening. (and not scroll through titles of topics which barely say anything - a picture’s worth a thousand words?…
Whenever I import dxf’s, and I’m assuming this is the same for other filetypes, it automatically zooms to extents of the drawings. I feel like it makes more sense to automatically zoom on the files you just have to import.
Is there a way to run zoom selected right after importing? I guess I could make a script that would run the zoomselected command after importing but I would like to solve this for when I drop my file on the Rhino window, since this is what I usually do for importing.
