Did you try script in theses links ? I understand that you don’t want plugin in that case you will have to do the plugin by yourself, because some of the plugin are hard to replace
Hello World,
I am struggling to reduce the depth of the hammered texture once I use the surface morph to wrap the dimpled texture around my target surface.
I am trying to figure out how to make the dimples on the surface shallower and then have them join so it is as close to seamless as possible, but I am stuck at this point. Any suggestions would be a huge help!

Hello
it is now a recurrent question and it is quite strange you didn’t find some already published solutions. Keywords for a search are certainly not quite intuitive so or here are some others links. You will understand that hammered is probably a good keyword to begin with.
and the best
This kind of hammered look [textured ring] is something I used to do in wax or direct to metal. I know others have used the " *Heightfield" command to do this. I’ve been trying, unsuccessfully, to do it with “Displacement” after watching Brian James video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zcl6zccz9o ) as a better way. Might there be a better way to accomplish something so fractal with more control then Heightfield? Maybe with Grasshopper? If yes, can someone point me to the right components?

Hi all,
I’m a complete beginner in grasshopper but I made this file to try and recreate a hammered texture across a 2m by 1m sheet, when I use less points and larger radius it works ok, but when I put the sphere radius to 15 (as I want it) and the number of points to 40,000 (a lot I know) the solid union has an error (Boolean union set is empty).
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix it that would be fantastic.
Thanks!
Hello,
I am currently trying to make a surface in rhino using grasshopper.
The result I am trying to achieve is this image.

I am currently using this grasshopper setup:
[grasshopper]
And by using that i created this:
[rhino]
The problem I am facing is that I am trying to curve the edges between the vonoroi pattern. This is what I have at the moment:
[close up]
But I want the edges to curve the other way around like this: (This way it is a smooth transition)
