Help, Rhino 8 Crashing when I switch to layout mode

Rhino 8 Crashing as soon as I switch to layout mode, even on a fresh project! Pleaseee help, I’ve been trying to resolve this with Tech Support, Max Fugier, for the past week.

I’ve tried:

  • updating to latest NVIDIA
  • trying an older version of Rhino 8 SR2 per Max
  • turn off GPU tessellation
  • disabled plugins that do not shop with rhino “Enscape.Rhino8.Plugin”

Hi Esther,

Does this still happen while in Safe Mode?

Safe mode can be run by searching the windows start for Rhino 8 in Safe Mode or by going to

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Rhino 8\

@Esther_Kao - can you test the current Rhino SR9 Release Candidate and see if this resolves your issue?

Thanks,

– Dale

We had already resolved it though tech support.
I asked you to set the service release candidate.

RH-82445 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 9
