Having trouble with the Beaver Plugin Closing Rhino

I recently tried downloading the Beaver plugin. I went through the installation process and realized that after I installed it I needed a License. So I sent them an email asking for a license. I am still waiting for a response. My problem is that it closes Rhino when I try opening a file. After 2 or 3 times of trying to open the file it works. After trying to deal with this for a few days I decided to try and uninstall Beaver. I removed it from the PackageInstaller and I cant find it in the PackageManager, and it is deleted from my computer files. But it still comes up every time I start Rhino. Does someone know where I can totally uninstall beaver or why it keeps popping up?

I am using an Educational Rhino License and recently updated to Windows11

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Ryan -

Is there any more information that I could give that would be helpful in figuring this out?
I appreciate you looking into this for me. Thank you!

I would hit that checkbox that says never load again.

Gijs De Zwart
Thank you for your response.
I have hit that checkbox quite a few times and it still tries to load it, not sure why though. I will try doing it again.

I just tried doing again and it didn’t work unfortunately.
It still tried to load it. Is there something I am not doing right?

Start Rhino in Safe mode.
PluginManager
Find the offending plugin in the list, and uncheck the “Enabled” box
Close Rhino
Restart Rhino normally. The plugin should not try to load.

How do you start Rhino in Safe mode?

Start menu, type “Safe…” and you should see it appear

If you can’t find it as Gijs suggested, I can start safe mode using “C:\Program Files\Rhino 7\System\Rhino.exe” /SafeMode in the command line.

It didn’t work :worried: :disappointed:
Alright, so i started Rhino in Safe Mode
and then I put PluginManager into the Command Line.
After that I clicked Ok to loading all the Plugins. Beaver did not come up in the Plugins. I searched the plugins and the Package manager and was not able to find a trace of it.
Closed the Rhino Window.
Opened Rhino Normally.
Tries to load.
Begins loading, shows it trying to load beaver, then it closes.
Try opening it normally a second time. Comes up with the same thing but I was able to make it all the way through without it closing.
Here are some screen shots it took while doing it.

Opening Rhino Normally now

Closes, Open it again

Ok so I finally found out how to get rid of the Beaver Plugin from the below link! :+1:

Rhino is still having a hard time opening files and closing on me. So I guess that side of the problem isn’t fixed. Would there be a reason that it closes on me while trying to open files? I will see if I can get a screenshot or two.
