Flip rotation direction?

I have the default rotation settings active in Rhino 6: Rotate about world axes

Yesterday I was modelling an enclosure consisting of a lower and an upper shell. When modelling the inside of the lower shell, everything was fine. However, when modelling the inside of the upper shell, I have to flip the view, and then rotation is kind of confusing: Now everything is in reverse.

This is something I have been wondering for ages: Is it possible to quickly flip viewport rotation direction?

One thing that might help here is if under Options -> View, set Rotate to Rotate around CPlane Z-axis. You then can flip your CPlane around to get the direction of view rotation you are after.

Thanks, that’s a nice suggestion! Flipping the CPlane can be done by:

world-bottom

May add that to a shortcut.
