Is anybody also experiencing a complete black out on command editor? My hotkeys (Copy, Paste, Undo, etc) seems to be working just fine but I have lost control over the command editor and when I try to open the thing this just keeps popping up. I have reinstalled Rhino several times and updated my computer too, but nothing seems to work.
I am running Rhino on a 2017 MacBook Pro with Ventura 13.1. I am not running any other programme other than Chrome to troubleshoot the problem.

Thanks, that’s a pretty uninformative message to get.
It sounds like the Commands > menu item should simply not be there at all. RH-72303 Menu: The command editor is obsolete
At any rate, what, specifically, are you trying to do?

I wanted to set up my menus/commands the same as I have in V7 so I can work quicker/easier.
I have started using V8 quite a lot but not having the tools at my fingertips is a bit frustrating.
I tried the teminal reset but nothing changed
I’m afraid that my idea of UI customization is getting rid of all toolbars and most panels, and was hoping that someone that uses such would chime in. Failing that, I’m afraid that you’ll have to get quite a bit more specific as what it is that you are trying to do to get an halfway useful answer from me…

Ok I think maybe my terminology is off. Here is a pic of my toolbar setup for V7. I want to do the same in V8 except when I go to the commands menu item under the Rhino menu header I get that error message. I can’t customize my toolbars. I am frustrated. Please put me out of a small bit of the misery. Thanks
For all other toolbars than the one that you show, the gear icon provides a menu with options. The one from your picture - that is integrated with the command line in Rhino on macOS - is somewhat of a special case and something that is planned to do something about in Rhino 9. In Rhino 8, with the Shift or cmd keys, you can still move or copy buttons to and from that toolbar, and edit individual buttons on it.
The Macros command should let you create all the toolbar buttons that you want.

One last one I promise. I have managed to get a pretty good rendition of my V7 layout in V8 except for the middle mouse popup/toolbar. I created a new toolbar called Middle Mouse and then went into preferences/mouse/ middlemouse button/ popup this toolbar but it is a default menu and does not show my new toolbar. How do I get this to work? Thanks Nick
