I’m having problems taking just a simple snapshots out of my rhino model. I have Rhino 7 for mac.
When switching to rendered view mode, almost all the surfaces are covered with black dots! I’ve tried toggling the settings of rendered view mode (shadows, objects) and also with file settings render quality, switching sun or skylight on/off… Nothing has helped so far! Also found this previous chat about a similar topic https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/problems-in-shaded-and-rendered-view-dots-everywhere/89655 but things suggested there didn’t work for me.
Hmmh, I tried that but my computer doesn’t wanna do it before rhino crashes… The file is 85 Mt in size and has lots of background information on it. I know it’s too big, but for this study I haven’t got the time to sort every file out…
Thanks for the good advice, it’s too bad I didn’t have a chance to get it fixed now. Next time I’ll be more careful when starting a new file. This I’ll try to figure out somehow in post production phase!
Please run the Rhino “SystemInfo” command and post the results.
This sill give us a good overview of the computer resources Rhino sees and may suggest a change.
