Hi @mikko,
I play a little bit with mesh-modeling in Rhino 7.
Wouldn’t a mid snap for meshes make sense?
Or have I missed something?
Thanks
Michael

Having direct mid edge snap would be great. but meanwhile, we can use between one-shot object snap:
Hi Mahdiyar,
thank you for the SubD script and this between hint. Yeah, between works, a mid snap would be great to attract more the mesh guys.
Cheers

Hi @Michael_Meyer,
Snapping to mesh edges has been added to Rhino 6 already. I think it may be disabled by default because it may slow Rhino down on dense mesh models, but try SnapToMeshes command to enable it, then most of the snaps work on mesh edges (near, mid, perp…)

@Pascal, @Mikko - snapping to meshes added to V6 was a big deal and super helpful in many cases, but clearly this is hidden well, even from expert Rhino users.
I think it would be good to have it added to Modeling Aids checkboxes menu somewhere - currently it is only a command and hard to find unless you know it exists. You may want more discoverability for this one…
cheers,

Hi Jarek - got that, thanks.
