WIP clipping plane depth inconsistency and other things

Hello,

When defining clipping plane you cannot set the value for depth to 0 unlike in properties of the clipping plane where 0 is accepted.

A: Other cool thing would be to display only cuts from the clipping planes. Something like commad “showonlyclippingplanecuts” toggle on off. It would be very useful.

B: would it be possible to clip only geometry which is in touch with the clipping plane? Right now you can choose objects which are clipped or excluded. Option to have “only those which touch the plane”

anyone?

Hi Ivan -

That’s a bug → RH-75926 ClippingPlane: Custom depth zero

Does that mean setting all clipping plane depths to zero?

Clipping planes are infinite, so, no. Clipping objects have to be implemented for this, which is on the list.

i mean when i want to display only cuts from multiple clipping planes thus setting depth to 0 → forward clipping plane will clip the cut geometry of backwards clipping plane thats why i say this would need to clip only geometry in touch not geometry behind
