Hi,
these days I’ve had some problems with VisualArq.
For the project I’m working on at the moment, I must use 43cm-thick walls and different types of windows and curtain walls.
To modify the walls, in the wall style section, I selected the 30cm-thick wall, then duplicated it, then changed the thickness to 43 cm and renamed the style.
This way, except for the above-mentioned property, the settings should remain the same. Am I wrong?
Same as for columns.
I also downloaded a group of objects directly from Food4Rhino (F.Salla objects), imported them into Rhino, then modified the two types of curtain walls I actually needed (just as for the walls).
Issue:
Anytime I try to use a modified window, in the command bar above, a warning message appears about a “boolean problem” within a specified wall and a column.
Except for 2 walls (that systematically result “broken” when I move any objects in the scene), nothing else changes in the drawing until I try to create a make-2D drawing (I’ve tried any possibility):
- if I toggle cut plane (from “Top-Floor1” to “Top” view), the resulting 2d drawing doesn’t show columns, windows and doors (as if they’ve been exploded before);
- if I toggle cut plane back ( from “Top” to “Top-Floor1” view), it’s the same;
- if, in the make-2D drawing window, I select “hidden lines”, the 2d drawing shows everything with hidden lines, except for a few continuous lines of the roof (this last one shouldn’t be visible at the 1st floor) and the stair I drew (not a VisualArq object).
It seems that the boolean issue has exploded the objects, but, at the same time, VisualArq can display them all only by using “hidden lines”. So, are these objects exploded… or not?
At last, I tried to copy+paste the entire project into a new Rhino-VisualArq file and I found out that the boolean issue is due to the two Food4Rhino curtain walls I modified : one has returned to its original size, the other one has disappeared.
I’m sure I did not explode any VisualArq object ( I had been morbidly careful since I’m definitely a rookie).
Can anyone help me solving this problem and avoiding losing the whole project,please?
