Apparent bug in Curtain Walls for Version 3

Hi,

I am attempting to do some curtain walls on an unusual roof geometry from a flat slab. I’ve attempted a few different methods, the first two were created from a surface. One has two random 90 degree planes coming out of the curtain wall and the other one does not complete the curtain wall end to end. The third, which I extended to the Top of a boundary roof has the frame extending all the way through. All of them seem to be wrong.

Attaching the file here.

Thanks

Hi @james.churchill thanks for reporting these issues along with the 3dm file. I’ll report them all to the development team and get back to you when we can fix them.

Hi @fsalla , I believe you were doing a Beta version 3 update this week. Is there any movement on this? I was wondering if some of these issues will be addressed.

As an aside, I’ve noticed saving a VisualArq Beta 3 to a Rhino7 file results in multiple geometries disappearing, includes walls, roofs and other issues. Not sure if this is a VA or Rhino issue.

Best, James

Hi @james.churchill we have fixed the issues you reported about curtain walls in the next Beta version. I hope we will publish it this week.

This is a VisualARQ limitation. It is not possible to read VisualARQ 3 models saved in Rhino8 with Rhino 7, because VisualARQ 3 files are not compatible with VisualARQ 2, and the VisualARQ objects won’t be read properly.
(On the other hand, there is no problem to read VisualARQ 2 files in VisualARQ 3.)

Hi @james.churchill I’m glad to inform that all these issues on curtain walls have been fixed in the VA3 Beta 5 version we have just published: New VisualARQ 3 Beta 5 released! - #6 by enric

Cheers!
