See attached pdfs. Raster produces expected results, vector shows unwanted geometry. I was hopeful we had this whole vector thing licked but here were are. Original .3dm file, system info and example output pdfs attached. Thanks!
Just a quick follow up … this program is incredibly meaningful to me. It is integral to the work I do everyday. Which is why when I use a professional program to present material in a professional capacity and the results are less than professional, it gives me pause. I recognize that A. The underlying vector engine is relatively new (though not that new in the scheme of things) and B. my use case may not be typical (I’d wager this vector pdf renders fine on windows, haven’t tested). But, if McNeel is offering this functionality in a paid software package, it should be reliable. I’m happy to keep reporting these bugs but a more robust internal system needs to be put in place, in my opinion. Thanks for everything you do.
Thanks Wim. I’ve attached another example I just stumbled on today. It feels like there must have been a regression at some point in the recent past. There was a while there where vector printing was pretty well behaved.
Thanks. I see that a fix in 9.0.26231.18304 introduced these side-effects.
Testing a version before that on your first file shows issues with the letter “A” but all other objects were fine.
