I am experiencing a draw order issue when printing VisualARQ wall sections to Vector PDF.
The Problem: When viewing the section in the viewport or “Print Preview,” everything looks correct: the wall’s Core Layer outline is thick and displays on top of everything else, as intended.
However, once I export/print it as a Vector PDF, the stacking order gets messed up. The thick contour lines of the structural Core Layer are being obscured (partially or fully covered) by the finish layers and hatch patterns.
What I have tried: I attempted to troubleshoot this by turning off the section outlines for the non-core layers (finish layers). Even with those outlines disabled, the Hatch/Fill patterns of the finish layers still render on top of the Core Layer’s outline in the final PDF, cutting off the thick line.
Has anyone encountered this issue? Is there a specific setting to ensure the Core Layer’s boundary curves are forced to the very front in Vector output?
I have encountered another specific bug related to Vector PDF output where Object Section Attributes are not correctly overriding the Parent Layer’s attributes.
The Setup:
Curtain Wall (Parent): Placed on a Layer that has a Section Style assigned
Glass Component (Child): This component is placed on a separate “Glass Layer,” and I have also assigned a specific Section Style independently to this component.
It seems that during the Vector PDF writing process, the Object Attribute Override fails to suppress/mask the Parent Layer Attribute, resulting in a double-hatch mess.
Attachments: I have attached screenshots showing the specific Object Attribute settings, the correct Vector Preview, and the buggy Vector PDF result.
Could you please check this attribute priority issue?
Additional Note: I applied the exact same workflow to Door and Window objects, and they print correctly without this issue. This bug appears to be specific to Curtain Walls only.
@slodka can you also attach some sample files for issue #2 and issue #3? I can’t reproduce them, but I may not have exactly the same situation as yours.
