UI / Icons are changing colour!

Hello

Running Rhino 6 & WIP.

The UI icons seem to be regularly shifting in colour… They go black/inverse colour.
It’s random and seems like some graphics/UI issue!

Please help!

Can you run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the results here?

Is this happening in both V6 and the WIP?

Thanks ! Yes, in both v6 & WIP:

@Helvetosaur

Any ideas with this?

thanks!

Nope… Your driver looks relatively recent, so no idea here…

Thanks @Helvetosaur

Anyone else have an idea here?

Thanks,!

Hello
I’m still having this issue in WIP.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hi sach - if you run ToolbarReset and restart Rhino… does that do anything to clean up?

-Pascal

Hi Sach,

Have you installed the Fall Windows 10 Creator update and if so have you enabled dark mode? Just curious, this looks like something has messed up the alpha channel on the button bitmaps.

That’s what I thought - alphas, but it is only some, it looks like.

-Pascal

@JohnM - Not that I know.

@pascal - Yes, it’s when I hover over the icons with the pointer…

Thanks,

Hi sach -

ok, so changing/resetting the toolbar file is unlikely to help I guess.

-Pascal

@pascal - no it’s doesn’t help. They turn black when i hover over and then go back randomly after a few seconds if I then hover over other areas of the screen.

@pascal
I think that I may have figured it out. It was also happening in v6. I realised that I had a few apps and multiple Chrome instances open. I closed everything and the issue disappeared… So it maybe related to my GPU resource and how it’s being used?
Thanks,

According to my experiences you are right. I observed this “black spots” in browsers when my GPU was overloaded due to many running applications

@Nosorozec
Thanks. It’s hasn’t happened since I closed the apps, so yes, it’s must be that!

Hi Sach - OK! Great. Thanks for the update, we were mystified…

@JohnM - fyi…
