Trouble rendering texture

Hi guys,

I’m having trouble rendering this ground plane texture. it shows up fine in rendered mode but when I either actually render the view or switch the view mode to ray trace, the texture dissapears completely.

I have used a bitmap image to create the texture and applied it to the subD terrain mesh.

Can anyone help me with what’s happening here please?

Is the Ground Plane active by any chance?

I have tried with the ground plane both on and off with the same results, also tried changing the texture type to a few different things but still no luck

i guess you might have moved the original image, in render view that would still show up but does not get rendered anymore.

if not post your file, guys just do that generally if you need help, people have to keep guessing otherwise.

From what I see the houses seem to float.
When you hide all houses and trees, do you see the ‘floor’?

yeah so if I render with all trees and buildings turned off, I can see the terrane mesh but still no texture to it

Thanks for the help! You may be along the right track. I deleted the material and created a newline with the image as the base colour and now when I render, I get a general greenish color which seems closer.

Im reluctant to post a file as some of the work on here is not my own so not mine to be posting on line, but if it comes to it I will post a sample file with the work cleared out. Otherwise I would have uploaded a file with this to start with

that does not make it easier for others to get you the help you need, you can always upload the file to mcneel and tag an employee. the file will stay confidential then i assume.

Yeah, I compleatly agree. it doesn’t make trouble shooting very easy at all really,

I do seem to have fixed it though, it seems like it was an issue with the mesh for some reason. I want back to an older version of the file, brought in the old mesh and applied a new texture to it and re mapped it. For some reason that’s now working fine. Bit odd as I can’t work out what had changed, but I’m not complaining!
