Texture Mapping on Meshpipes

Hi everyone,
I am searching for a way to apply a texture on some meshpipes. I thought box mapping would be adecuate, but the result seems to be far from what I would like to see.
Thats the outcome:

Desired texturemapping scale:

The texture:

Mesh pipes:
241019_Rot.3dm (848.5 KB)
Does not have to be very exact, the faster the workflow is, the better, hehe. Will have to do it often, and it is just for a first impression.

Thanks in advance!

create a material, then simply add your material to the color channel-

see attached model

Hi @theoutside,

thanks for the quick answer. Unfortunately I can’t open R8 files- I am on my way to grade up though.
I tried now with surface pipes, as well as con meshpipes, it is still not looking right.

Would box mapping be the right way?

ok, I got it. The problem was a texture in the enviroment map.
The few times a used materials in Rhino, I applied it over the enviroment channel, since I saw it in a thread here. Guess it is not really the way to go- at least in this case.

no, make a material with your texture in the color channel.

apply it with surface mapping (should do this by default)
