Suggestions for Display Mode

I am trying to create illustrations for a book. They would be grayscale on white. I was wondering if anyone has come up with a good display mode for that.

I am not using any materials and everything is black.

Here I have a couple of attempts using variations on the render mode. In the one at the top the illustration is not distinct from the background (set to white).

In the second I have made the background gray, but that is not good for printing on white paper.

Any ideas?

Hello - if you combine the first one with the ‘scene silhouette’ output from Make2d of the same view you might be able to combine them say in Illustrator

With several hundred to do, I would shore be easier to find some display settings that were good. I din’t need a crisp black line around the border but I need less of a blurr.
