I’ve just bought a new space mouse (the basic edition) and am trying to configure it for use with Rhino 8.
I have managed in the Mac OS settings to set it up how I would like to use it in SketchUp by selecting the Target camera mode in settings (also achieved in the ‘fly’ mode).
However the settings for Rhino are comparably limited… As such I cannot get it to work in this inutitve fly mode and the controls are inverted and unatural for me.
Is there a way to achieve this / a work around so I can get it to work in a fly mode in Rhino? I’ve read another post about the Rhino support for Space mice being limited so I’m a little dissapointed to discover
that this funtion may not be possible.
Thanks Dan, do you have a rough timeline of when you expect to have an update of the integration? So I can know when to check back in.
I have read that post but it seems to have opened up a can of worms on the topic with people talking about different features… If anyone knows a way to just get it so the axis are not inverted please let me know.
I was able to get the orientation on my Space Mouse the way I like but I had to use the 3D connexion app to do it. I have Shift set up on 1 button and that works great but I wanted Command + Shift ( Sub-object selection) for the other button and it just will not work. Sad, because having to jump back and forth between the computer keyboard and the space mouse is clumsy and time consuming.
Anyone know if there is a work around for this? Like with Shift I set it up in the 3D connexion app. but I have yet to get it to work. I am at least grateful that most of it works the way I want.
