Not a solution but the silhouette tools may help.

Thanks for bringing this up. There a few methods listed in this topic that can certainly help but I would do this currently by making alternate versions of the technical display mode and using SetObjectDisplayMode to assign specific thicknesses for silhouettes to different selections. This will then print with raster output. I agree there is a need though to make this better and I’ve filed a request as RH-23556 for future reference. Print Width settings would need to be supported in Technical display line settings as I see it… I’m not sure if this is possible but development will look into it. You can see the effect PrintDisplay has in a model with print widths set by layer if you are in wireframe or another none technical mode. I believe this is ultimately what would make the workflow easiest.
