Solid difference

Hello, may be a silly question, I am having trouble getting my solid difference to fully remove a cylinder from a complex geometry. Currently the center of the complex geometry will remain and the perimeter is extracted. I was wondering if there is a way to fix this? if I bake the objects the complex geometry is several parts but can still be booleoned by a cylinder individually. Any thoughts? photo for reference.

Are you capping the cylinder? as in, is the cylinder solid?

Yes the cylinder is solid

Rather than a “clean cut”, I would think any rods or square disks that touch the cylinder, along with any inside, of course, would be removed? Solid difference would not be the tool to use.

Where is your GH file with geometry
