I want a quick way to turn snap on/off via a keyboard shortcut.
I am running Rhino 7 on Mac OS
When I used in on PC, I was able to quickly go back forth.
When I try to Go to Rhino>7>Commands>Customize
and make a copy and then adjust my new template, I still cant find Snap as a command to hotkey.
any ideas? thanks
I have a 16" 2019 MBP with the Touch bar.
Holding Fn displays the F keys in the Touch bar.
F9 is already coded to be a Grid Snap toggle.
Is that what you’re after?
nice, thanks that works.
Ideally Id like to not use the touch bar, so I dont have to even look at keyboard, but just press
lets say command + 1 to toggle snap on and off
It doesn’t appear the Mac allows Cmd+# keys like Windows does.
You’ll need to pick a different key combination.
ok thanks for that info.
I can do any combo, lets say option + 1
or the lettser z and q at the same time.
My issue is that I cant find snap as a command to update the shortcut within rhino
Go into Preferences > Commands, and select the Keyboard tab.
Scroll down to F9
The macro you need is there.
That’s why I pointed it out to you in my first reply.
yes thank you very much. working perfectly.
just in case you did not know, if its just temporarily you can also press alt while in commands that disables the osnaps till you let go.
