Grid snap toggle on and off macro

Hi there, can anyone help me with the macro to set up toggling grid snap on and off?
I used to have it, previous plugin and previous Rhino version.
I’m setting it to Ctrl Q.
Thank you very much.

the online help is a nice ressource for those questions.

https://docs.mcneel.com/rhino/7/help/en-us/index.htm#commands/snap.htm%3FTocPath%3DCommands|Alphabetical|S|_____200

Snap

Shortcut → F9
Alias → S

Alias

you will find alias as section in
_documentProperties

Alias can not have hotkey-kombination (alt, cmd, shift…), but multiple Characters.
for example you can assign BD for BooleanDifference.

you can see them more as a easy to remeber, short Nic-Name.

Aliases will Auto-complete in the command-line and will be at Top of the list.

shortcuts

you will find shortcuts as section named Keyboard
_documentProperties

with Shortcuts you link a specific macro to a single Keyboard Input / Key-Kombination.
(that are already defined)

and of course you can edit / customize both of them

please update your title:
Grid Snap toggle on and off Shortcut
so others find it more easy

please mark this post as solution if it solves your question.

Thank you Tom, I have looked at this previously, but I was after toggle on and off with the same set of keys (say, Ctrl Q).

I just need the words for the macro for snap toggle on and off. Can you help with this?

_Snap (it’s a toggle). You might also want to look in Options>General>Never repeat these commands, and if it is in the list, remove it from there.

Ah! That’s it, simpler than I thought.

Also the Never repeat is something I never knew about so fantastic!

Thank you very much, Helvetosaur!
