Small "broken" geometry on wind turbine rotor hub model

Hi,

I’m working on modeling a wind turbine rotor hub. This model will be used in a Blender animation that includes a close-up of this component.

After applying FilletEdge and using Zebra to check for errors, I noticed a small break in the geometry along this rounded edge.

Is there a way to fix this? I’m concerned that these imperfections might be noticeable in the final renders.

I also spotted another issue here:

I’ve attached the file to this post, it includes the model and the steps I followed.

Is there a particular reason your tolerance is set to 0.01?

I changed it to 0.001 and I don’t think I see the issues. Also when I subselect double click the edge along the final 0.1 meter? radius fillet the entire loop is selected which is not the case on your model.

left is your attempt, right side mine with 0.001 tolerance

Thanks! I didn’t think it could be related to the tolerance. I also found another way to fix it: I deleted the broken surface and used the mirror tool to copy the clean one and replace the broken area.
