ShowGridLines missing

Hi all.

There’s a Rhino for Windows option available to show/hide the grid lines, I don’t find it with Rhino for Mac.

In case this is not implemented in the Mac UI, is there a custom macro I could use to force Rhino to access that option ?

You can show/hide the grid and set it’s properties with the _Grid command:

-Kevin

Thank you for your answer @kev.r

The option I am after is named ShowGridLines, available on with Rhino for windows.
That option is not available on Mac as you can see on your snapshot.

Unless I’m not understanding what you want, you can show/hide the grid by checking/unchecking the option called Show Grid

-Kevin

I am looking for the following option.

On Windows it is ShowGrid - not ShowGridLines - that help topic is incorrect, we’ll fix it…

-Pascal

Thank you for the clarification Pascal.

More clear.

Well, the text you show is from, I believe, the help for the Grid document settings and not the Grid command, which is below that and correct… so admittedly it is not 110% as clear as it could be but it is correct in the help for the Grid command.

-Pascal

That’s fine for me, Pascal.

Being writing new training contents, I just want to be sure to use the right terminology for both Rhino WIN/Mac versions.

Show Grid is the one I will keep.

Here are the links : Version 5, 6, 7 same naming is used.

So, in DocumentProperties > Grid page, as distinct from the Grid command, the property is indeed ‘Show grid lines’ but the Grid command option is ‘ShowGrid’.

-Pascal

Yep.

If I am not wrong, is was also named that way on Rhino 5 in the GridSnap sub menu accessed via the RMB. Have to check on RH6-7.
