Shortcut for moving object into position a specific distance from point

Hi there. A typical “problem” for me is I often need to copy or move and object to a location that is a set difference from another object or edge or similar. Currently I move the object to the edge and then move it from that edge the set distance away:
4xYx8H8S04

The gumball works well as long as I’m working on a ortho design or I have my Cplane setup. Sometimes I have luck with the smart track, but that is a bit of a fickle beast at times.

Any tips?

You might look at the “From” one-shot object snap. But the number of clicks will probably be about the same.

That’s exactly it, thanks! I often forget about these, I’ve been trying to get used to using “Between” for a while, it’s also really practical.
