Hello,
I am working on parametric shelving furniture piece, which also export price using shapediver export component.
I have uploaded file on SD, price calculation is working very well. But, sometime price calculation perfectly work on grasshopper but not on shapediver with some desire parameters.
I also attached on which parameter price export is not working on shapediver.
I have attached GH and SD link for review.
Please review and help me!
The model has a lot of parameters and it is difficult for me to try and match the parameters from your screenshots. Please create a saved state for the list of parameters that fails to export the price, and then send me the link to this saved state (see “Direct link to a state” in the link above).
It seems that this computation timed out or failed for a different reason the first time you requested it. You can try to empty your model’s cache; however, I tried to do it, and something seems to be stuck there. Alternatively, you can upload it again (I just did, and I could get the Price output for those parameter values).
Note that if your models time out frequently, you should consider either optimizing your model or upgrading to an account allowing for longer computation times.
I’m the project owner that @savaliyakenil5 is working on, and actually this is not the first time it happened.
The parameter combination and the time of occurence always seems random, and sometimes it fixes itself (before, the problem persisted for 3 weeks before it restored itself).
With that being said, i know that reuploading the file will most likely fix the issue, but not in a long term.
I suggest uploading a new version of the model, and monitoring the first time the Price output is missing. That way, we will be able to use the computations table and see what happened when the computation failed.
Haven’t got a chance to re-upload the file and I already got another complaint from a customer with different set of parameters. Please check the 2nd saved states on the link above.
Out of curiosity, can you use the computations table on the recent occurrence, or does it have to be a newly uploaded file?
The important point is to find out exactly when a computation happened that led to an empty Price output. The saved state unfortunately does not help because it does not tell me when the computation happened on the servers which led to the issue. I need to be able to locate in the computations table the one that led to a wrong result and then analyze what could have gone wrong.
Tracking this on a newly uploaded file would be more reliable because, in the case of your already uploaded file, it might be that a wrong result is pulled from the cache, and not from a new computation.
