Hello, I am stuck with a simple problem. Download from Shapediver is not working (Message: Sorry, no data to be exported for these parameter settings)
I am trying to export a single curve (planar, world xy). What could be wrong?
I have already tried multiple file formats, public / private model and changes to the curve object itself.
If you could send me a minimal definition causing the issue, I could investigate the issue.
One thing I can already tell you: using text as inputs for the format will not work in general. The components take one of the “Export Options” components as input in the latest versions of the plugin:
It should still work and fall back to a 3dm format by default so the issue might be elsewhere though.
Hello, Mathieu thanks for your prompt answer.
I saw that I didnt have the latest Shapediver plugin. For reference, I uploaded a simplified model and could not reproduce the problem. https://www.shapediver.com/app/m/export-test-18 Both buttons are working. Exept, I dont know how to export dxf, it gives me 3dm only.
But in my original definition the download doesn`t work, although the definition is identical.
Please try to use one of the Export Options components from the screenshot I sent above. You need to connect one of these components to the second input of the component (O - Options) in order to define which format to export and the export options.
Matthieu, thank you. I also found the drawings options whch contain the dxf file format.
And I found the flaw: My curve is the result of a offset operation which in RH doesnt require a srf for the offset direction. But apparently Shapediver does. Sometimes it is not easy to find the culprit, when gh is working in rhino but not on your platform.
That difference happened because your ShapeDiver account is running on Rhino 6, therefore you should ideally check that your definition works as expected in Rhino 6 before uploading it to ShapeDiver. Rhino 7 systems are available with Designer and Business accounts.
Pro accounts are legacy accounts we do not sell anymore. They do not include access to a Rhino 7 system, which comes with the current commercial plans.
In most cases, a definition created in Rhino 7 will run fine in Rhino 6, but some backwards compatibilities exist, such as the one you experienced above.
