Section/Elevation Display Bug

Hi Guys,

I’m running into a bug with sections. They are only displaying and plotting as wireframes and don’t appear to be clipping accurately. Any clues as to what’s going on?

Thanks!

Hi @Clayton_Muhleman,

Please, could you send us your file and a few screenshots or gifs to see how you are reproducing the problem?

Hi Alfonso, you bet. Here’s a screen grab. I’ll shoot you a copy of the file as a DB link.

Hi @Clayton_Muhleman,

Thank you for the file. I will report this issue and keep you updated about it.

Hi Guys,

Any luck sorting this one out? It’s been a bit of a tripping hazard for our work.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Clayton_Muhleman,

I have already fixed this issue in VisualARQ 2.13. We can send you an installer for the latest build.

FYI: The real problem is in the 3D block of the toilet. The block definition has an invalid bounding box stored in the 3DM, so when VisualARQ computes the bounding box for the toilet object, the result is too big, which messes with the display pipeline. Now VisualARQ 2.13 will compute the tight bounding box, which is slower, but more precise. It seems this is what Rhino does with its native block references.

Enric

Hi @enric, just realized I’d never responded to this one. The patch solved this problem and so did just being more careful with building our entourage/objects. We haven’t noticed any slowdowns either, so looking good.

Thanks for your help!
