RhinoLands 6.4 released

Hi all,
RhinoLands/Lands Design 6.4 is available for download !

This is a minor update with just a few improvements and error fixes. However, since it takes advantage of some new stuff introduced in Rhino 8 Service Release 23, it requires Rhino 8 SR23 or higher in order to install.

Here is the complete what’s new list:

Plant List

  • Shrubs, Groundcovers, and Topiaries are now listed with an icon closer to their appearance in the drawing

Plant 3D Display

  • The possible presence of roots is now taken into account when adjusting the plant scale to achieve the desired height
  • Foliage color now has some transparency

Performance

  • Terrain is now evaluated only once when calling context menu commands on several Terrain Input Data objects (like disabling all divisions at once from the Divisions root node)

Error Fixes

  • Plant photo was not being updated in some cases when changing its image
  • Walls along a polyline path curve were not properly adjusted to terrain
  • Objects elevated to terrain were not automatically updated when modifying the hardscape terrain (like ramps)
  • Creating a Groundcover from a circle could crash Rhino
  • Fatal error when trying to change the color of Zones with a different initial color
  • Fatal error when purging blocks inserted from the library
  • A bad triangle appeared at the origin when computing the terrain base box in AutoCAD
  • Recent files named with non-ASCII chars were not being shown in RhinoLands Ribbon’s File menu

Notes

  • Supported Rhino versions
    • Rhino 8 SR23 or later, and
    • Rhino 7 SR33 or later
  • Supported AutoCAD versions
    • AutoCAD 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021

Enjoy it!
