Rhino8 Mac - Turn off layer in specific detail view, and not others

I have read many places that one can set the visibility of layers specifically to each detail view in a given layout by double-clicking the view so it is selected, and then make changes to the visibility in the layers panel.

However, I have tried this a zillion times and all details are affected.
What am I doing wrong?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure if this is you wanted, and for you reference,

Ok. So the steps to achieve this are to select the detail view, then use the “Detail On” lightbulb by the layer you want to turn on/off. Makes sense, but I have never seen that mentioned.

I think I am good to go. Thanks.

Thank you.

Yep, and you can choose to reorder the columns, so the lightbulb, you wish to switch on/off is closer to the left. In Rhino 8 it is also possible to set a layer to be visible in ALL of the DetailViews in LayoutSpace but NOT in the Modelspace. That has not been possible in previous versions of Rhino.
