After opening a file (versions 7 and 8 tested) in iRhino3D, model views have inherited clipping planes which had been created to clip views in layout views only.
I selected clipping planes in model views and verified that none of the planes were clipping any views in model views, yet the model views (‘Left’, ’Top’ for example) were clipped, although I can’t tell if they are clipped precisely as they are in the corresponding layout views.
I deleted the clipping planes and the (model) views are still clipped where they should not be.
I am just guessing that opening the files in iRhino3D is the cause, in any case I don’t know how to fix.
Also, in the same tested files, some of the viewports, model or layout, which are set to display as ‘pen’ show hidden lines and some do not. Again, this problem has not appeared before opening files in iRhino3D.
I really doubt this has anything to do with iRhino as that app doesn’t save 3dm files unless you explicitly tell it to do so. I’ll try to take a look at this file soon.
Ps. In my version of iRhino (8.0.22346), saving, even if I wished to do so, does not seem to be enabled.
Tapping on screen (iPad) single, double, long press etc brings up no menu. There appears to be no way to interact with the model beyond viewing (and some viewing alternatives).
For viewing it seems excellent.
Then your version of iRhino is not saving 3dm files at all and I suspect this was just a coincidence. We have a WIP build of iRhino that is available on TestFlight that has the save feature right now. We are getting close to making this available on the regular App Store release.
