Rhino7 raytraced textures not displaying properly

Hi everyone, I’m relatively new to rendering materials in Rhino with cycles. I have been wrecking my brain to no avail trying to solve this issue (see attached images).
The plywood surface shows OK in the rendered view on the left, but shows up like an averaged beige uniform color in the raytraced view on the right. The plywood edge material otherwise looks OK in both images.
The object is a closed polysurface, and I have applied the two plywood surface/plywood edge materials sub-selecting individual surfaces.
I’m rendering on a W11, Intel i7 machine with an NVIDIA Quadro P2000 graphic card.
Many thanks to whoever can offer any advice on this.
I

probably will need to post the 3dm with textures embedded

This works correctly in Rhino 8.

v7 is just being pickier about the mapping channel, try changing it from 2 → 1

Thanks, I was considering updating although not immediately

Magic! It works, thank you so much!
So, is it possible to use other channels than just #1 at all in V7?

sure, if there are actually multiple channels to use

note that you may need to restart the raytraced display mode when changing mapping channel in the texture
