When I go to open Rhino 7 it says my license is in use by another user on this computer and that rhino is already running. I have never used my license on another computer or used another license on this computer. Please help!
Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open Task Manager.
Then go to the Details view, and sort the list of processes by Name.
Look for any Rhino.exe processes and Right+Click and choose End Task.
Then restart Rhino, optionally you could just reboot your PC and try again.
Hi Kayla,
This message occurs when there is already a Rhino running on your computer.
You own a single user license and per the license agreement you can only run it in one login session.
This error can happen if:
- Someone remotes on to your computer and is now running Rhino.
- Or if another user logged into your computer, opened Rhino and then the “Switch User” was option was invoked for your current session. The original user may still have Rhino open.
Either way, you will need to figure our how to log the other users off your computer.
A reboot will disconnect any users from your computer.
And then try to open Rhino again.
