I was having a hard time opening a file of mine, every time I would try to open it the screen would stay black and say ‘not responding’. The only way to close out of the program was to restart my computer entirely. I searched through the forums and started following along with some solutions offered to others: opening in safe mode, Options>Plug-ins to disable unnecessary plug ins, and I updated to the newest version of Rhino 7. Now, the program will not open at all, or in safe mode. Before, it was only the one file that was having issues, now I can’t access anything.
How are you trying to open Rhino: clicking on a .3dm file, using a shortcut, using a desktop icon, starting the executible, ???
Are any messages shown?
What type of license?
Is any antivirus software loaded?
I have tried opening every way to open the software. I get no message, no error code, or any kind of notification. My computer doesn’t stall or anything when I try to open, I can do anything else and it works. I am using the evaluation of Rhino 7 right now and have about 2 months left, so I haven’t had any issues thus far. I do not have any additional antivirus software because I have had that issue in the past.
Hello- if you open Windows Task Manager> Processes and >Details, is there any sign of a Rhino running in there?
-Pascal
No, Rhino is not running in either of those.
