Rhino runs very slow!

Hello,
I was an Autocad user before. I bought Rhino for both my 3D and plan drawings, but I have not been able to use it for 1 year. Rhino Autocade is very slow in comparison. Same system, same computer, same file, I get two different results. What is the reason of this?

You might want to post your system info.

Run the _SystemInfo command and copy paste the result in a new post using the Hide Details option which you find by clicking the gear symbol…

Unfortunately, Rhino is still too slow. Rhino 8 is out, but even a simple copy operation takes a lot of time.

I tried turning off all image enhancement features in case it would help, but it didn’t.

Why have you moved the slider all the way to the left?

You’ve completely disabled hardware acceleration…

Move it all the way to the right and restart rhino.

You have completely disabled the use of your GPU for Rhino. Having that slider all the way to the left should only be used for extreme purposes and is really meant for trying to diagnose problems with different GPU drivers. I would take Jeff’s recommendation and move that slider all the way to the right and restart Rhino.

What does that specifically mean?

Actually, I don’t think the problem is caused by the GPU. I shot another video for you. The program is absurdly slow and responds very slowly to commands. I’m doing a very simple copy operation. I can process this process 10 times faster on Autocad. I love Rhinoceros, but it can’t be used like this.

We don’t need more videos of Rhino on your system. We need you to answer our questions.

Why did you move the slider all the way to the left?
What does “turning off all image enhancement features” mean?

A can only assume that you moved the slider back to the right and restarted Rhino before you shot that latest video. Please post the updated results from the SystemInfo command.

Rhinoceros is currently at its original settings but has not changed. I cannot achieve a smooth result at all.
That’s why I still can’t use Rhinoceros.
I thought antialiasing might tire the system, so I turned it off, but now it is at its original setting and 4x.

I sent the file, but the problem is not only in this file, but also in terms of general operation, the fact that it lags so much even when copying a 2D plan makes the program unusable.

As far as I understand, there is no solution. I have a Rhino license and I have not been able to use it in any of my work. Apparently I have to continue with the Autocad-Sketchup collaboration.

I see that this is slow on my system as well and will put an item on the list to see if this is something that can be optimized.

There are 77810 duplicates in that file.
You mention that you are using the same file on both Rhino and AutoCAD, and I’d like to make sure there’s not something wrong going on when reading the original AutoCAD file into Rhino.
Would it be possible to also send that original DWG file?

Just tried the same like in your video. Its definitely slower than in autocad, but i can still work with it here in Rhino. Undoing these copies is faster in Rhino tho for some reason.

Of course I can send it. I like the features of Rhinoceros and want to use it. I’m just having a slow problem. I will be very pleased if we can find a solution.
