Rhino Mesh Rebuild

Hey!

Is anyone able to roughly rebuild this broken mesh? I haven’t had any luck! Any help is appreciated.

So, this model is made up of 26 meshes…lots of gaps and a few overlapping each other. There is no one way forward to ‘rebuild’ this mesh. Do you want to combine all into one mesh and just fill the gaps? Do you need to convert this to a NURBS model? It’s hard to advise without knowing more about what you are trying to accomplish.

Just the middle piece that is indented on either side. The gaps are fine, this will be a background model but the crinkled mesh in the middle is a problem.

If this the indented middle you are having trouble with?

I used the _DupMeshEdge command to find all the naked edges. Then exploded, removed the extras (see the X’s I drew on the screenshot), then joined the top and bottom rings into two closed curves. Now, use the _Loft command to create a surface between two curves. Lastly, convert it back into a mesh.

Does this help?

It worked!
