Rhino keeps closing up for no reason

Hi everyone
So I’ve been dealing for a few days with Rhino crashing down & closing, I disabled Enscape wich is the only non Rhino native plugin I have, I had re-installed to 6.31 version. I use Rhino everyday on my job, so I really need help please.

Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and return the results.
This will show what computer resources Rhino sees.
Hopefully something obvious will stand out.

  • Are you running on a Desktop or Laptop computer?
  • How many monitors are you running?
  • How are they connected to the computer?

I run it in an Asus Desktop computer.
I’m currently only using 1 monitor, it’s connected by HDMI.

Are you actually connected to the graphics card or are you using the display port on the motherboard-

see here- Rhino crashes like crazy! wait...are my monitors plugged in correctly?

I ask because this is not correct as reported,
(Secondary graphics devices.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (NVidia) Memory: 2GB, Driver date: 11-6-2020 (M-D-Y).
Intel® HD Graphics 630 (Intel) Memory: 1GB, Driver date: 2-28-2018 (M-D-Y).)

so there is something jacked up with your graphics card, your monitor connection, or you operating system set up…

please post a pic of tools>options>view>open gl

I’m curious what rhino is seeing as your open gl video card there.

ok, that looks good,

check that your monitors are actually plugged into the video card, NOT the monitor port.

follow the instructions in the link I posted above ( the soooo, you bought a hybrid machine one)

run systeminfo again and post results. we want the PRIMARY open gl to be listed as your nvidia (which is under min spec btw… we look for 4gb vram…) It’ll run okish, it just won’t be fast…

On an outside chance, start Rhino 6 in Safe mode, go into Options > Plug-ins, and disable the RhinoCycles plug-in.
Close and restart Rhino normally (not safe mode).

Does Rhino start then?
This will disable the Raytraced display option.

That link was really helpful BTW, turns out I had the monitor plugged in the motherboard port. This is my SystemInfo:

Does it run better now? I’m assuming it does
