Rhino.inside.Revit 2025 WIP installer available

The latest Daily Build of Rhino.Inside.Revit installs on Revit 2025.

Revit 2025 has had a major change in its .Net version, going from .Netframework 4.8 to .Net 8.

This change has consequences on Rhino plug-ins as well as Revit Add-ins built on older frameworks.

One of the issues we are tracking is Rhino UI behavior. Any adjustment to the layer panel for instance will jump around, going to Rhino 8>View>Window Layouts>Default Window Layout and resetting to defaults gets it back to normal.

Due to Revit being in .Net 8 only Rhino 8 can be supported.

Thanks in advance for reporting any additional issues you may come across.

As always please check the release notes for the latest updates

Hi Japhy
Where to download it?
Thanks

Set the RiR inside Revit update options to WIP. The instructions are here: Rhino.Inside.Revit Check for updates

In Japhy’s post above the green dots show where to pick to get to the RIR option dialog.

hello. I tried the rhino inside revit wip version in REVIT 2025. Thanks for the update on revit 2025. I just turned it on and I see a small problem. When using the wip version, the mouse wheel button does not work in Rhino. But it works in Grasshopper. Just mouse wheel click doesn’t work. Zooming in and out is possible.

Hi @Japhy ,
Does this mean that all future Rhino.Inside.Revit versions will be only for Rhino 8?

Rhino.Inside.Revit will still be a single installer that has the latest Rhino 7 & Rhino 8 updates. The only reason Revit 2025 won’t work with Rhino 7 is the .Net 8 change in Revit is a big change, it’s not ‘if you want the latest RiR components you must use Rhino 8’.

Can you provide your Rhino SystemInfo (run in the Rhino command line) Thanks

hello. I will send you a copy of the systeminfo you mentioned. If you adjust the size of the layer window and task button areas on the left and right, it does not work well, unlike rhino8.

I was trying to install it, but Revit 2025 won’t show ‘Rhino Inside’ on the top bar. I already installed the plugin version RhinoInside.Revit_1.20.8836.21283.msi

Hi Arshard, Per the post, you will need to install the daily build (1.22.x) to install in Revit 2025.

Hi Japhy, where I can get it the the daily build?

Do you another version of Revit installed besides 2025?

I had Revit 2024, I just uninstalled yesterday :expressionless:

Sent you a link to the daily in a private message

Hi Japhy. Could you please send it to me too? Thanks!

Sent. Thanks for trying it out, let us know if you see anything unusual behaviors or UI glitches.

Hi Japhy, thanks for the link for the 2025 WIP! I’m experimenting with it heavily during these days.
I have a couple of issues with RIR for 2025. Where can I discuss them?
(Value Picker freezing on model layer, an error installing the last daily build etc.)
Thanks in advance,
Roberto

Hi Roberto,

Feel free to create a post with the relevant details. Thanks

As regards the RIR 2025 WIP installation it seems that this last daily build is trying to install inside Rhino 7 (which is no longer present on my system). The previous build installed and was running correctly.

Also seeing that the latest Daily Build fails in Revit 2025. Any updates on how this could get working? Did you say it require Rhino 8, @Japhy ? (Cool name by the way).
