Rhino Freezes and Crashes When Editing Keyboard Shortcuts

Hi, I recently ran into a very strange and annoying bug related to editing keyboard shortcuts. I have attached a video showing the problem. The issue is that when you start to edit your shortcuts, it will slow down (won’t recognize double clicks or anything), making it hard to get into the edited text field. I try double-clicking, and in the beginning (before I have changed anything), it is responsive and behaves as expected. Once I start changing anything, it slows down more and more with every change I make, and eventually freezes or, in this case, just straight crashes. Hopefully, this is a simple bug to resolve. This was not an issue in the previous version of the shortcut editor. This is not file-specific and occurs in all my files/instances of Rhino, hence why I haven’t included a specific file.

I am currently using Version 8 SR24 (8.24.25281.15001, 2025-10-08) Educational.

My first guess is something related to the file location or ownership/rights might be getting in the say.
Please describe your general computer setup, and also run the Rhino System Info command. Post that information and results in a reply.
Hopefully something will jump out as a likely culprit.

The setup right now is that Rhino is installed on my C drive, which is an NVMe M.2 and my “settings-Scheme_Default.xml” is located locally on my C drive. My projects are generally located in my Google Drive folder in my file explorer (it is my account). However, I double-checked with a project I have saved on a local disk, and the crash happens the same way.
