Rhino far from origin textures


I get glitchy displays with textures applied on objects far from the origin. Texture ma^ping does not change anything.
We work with geo-referenced models at the office so it is very important that the geometry stays where it is.

Is there anyway to correct this without moving the model to the origin ?

Basically Rhino uses up all of the available digits getting far, far away from the origin, leaving no digits for the precision of things - making both display meshes and textures all glitchy.
Different solutions have been discussed from time to time, but nothing that has been implemented yet AFAIK.
