Rhino extrusions all kinky and bad in flat shade & rendering

Hi everyone,
I have a huge problem in visualizing/rendering a model I created starting from an AutoCad file (probably) generated froma GPS survey. Even if I purged the basefile, even if I erased all he elements that could create problems during modeling, the result is that all the extrusions (I usually model extruding planar curves, as I start from an imported CAD file) are bad, kinky, not fixed.
I’ve tried to adjust the mesh parameters but it doesnnt work, I tried to export & import in different formats (like OBJ, prevuois Rhino versions, DXF, DWG) but I can’t fix the problem.
I attach two images, the first one in Ghosted Visualization Mode that displays how the model sghould be, and the second in Rendering Mode that displays the visualization error.
I’m desperate!
Thank you in advance to all

Caterina

Is your model very far from origin?
If so, try moving it closer to 0,0,0 (w0) point and see if that helps.

It worked! It was so simple…how is it possible that meshes and solids could be so affected from the position? Of course starting from a georeferenced files this solution didn’t come to my mind. Thank you Jarek, really!

It has to do with huge numbers that the software has to deal with and the tolerances being off… I am sure there is a more precise explanation

In general, always try to model close to origin if you can. Some more here:
