The latest WIP fixed the crash with metal on but once TestMetal is turned on after few panning/zooming/rolling the viewport goes blank as used to behave in the past builds.

Do you also get that when you use the Shaded display mode instead of Ghosted?

the issue appears even in wireframe and shaded display modes.
But the viewport remains usable in RENDERED mode.
