This is to bring your attention that the copy paste command from one file to another (both simultaneously open, both rhino 7 3dm files) is not working with high number of objects. when copying and pasting simple objects (box for instance), the command proceeds normally.
I usually I am able to copy paste 100 000 of objects (curves and surfaces…)
Any reason why is this happening ? or is it only the latest service release Bug ?

Hello - do you mean that copy/paste of 100 000 objects used to work in the same situation but has stopped working, or it works on Windows but not on Mac, or? Do you gat any command line feedback in the target file on Paste?
Hello,
What I am trying to say is that in my history of using Rhino (5, 6,7) I have always been able to copy paste 100 000 objects… this is to support the idea that the latest SR of Rhino 7 is behaving in a strange manner.
Yes, I get feedback in target file where I am trying to paste (written on the screenshot) : Unable to paste, no rhino objects or text on the clipboard.
Hello,
I am having exaclty this problem in Rhino (Version 8 (8.4.24023.15002, 2024-01-23). I have a file of an exhibition that has a lot of materials and mesh objects that i have previously not had any trouble with. Sometimes a little slow but no issues. However today I all of a sudden I have the inability to copy objects. I have tried the following.
typing the command Copytoclipboard
pressing command C
Using the menu copy to clipboard button
It seemed to be an issue with the size of the copy. So I tried removing all textures and setting it to default and copying a plain box. But it does not work and the plain box takes up to 10 seconds of rainbow wheel to think about the copy but does not do it.
My macbook pro is an M3 Max on sonoma 14.1 with 36GB memory.
This I have restarted with no luck.
I have also tried to quit the Pboard function from Activity viewer. This did not help either.
I tried a more simple file and I found that at first it did not work. Then after I used the menu button instead of command C/V then the copy and paste functions began to work again but still only on simpler files.
@gari.kun Did you end up working out what the problem was for you?
